Favorite Moments of the Year

More than a new year’s resolution this is a challenge I was denying to accept (writing a blog it’s not as easy as it seems), and it wasn’t until I organized my hard drives and computer that I realized we have so many GREAT moments to share with you. Those moments and love stories will be in our memories forever. Now it’s time to share some of those incredible, favorite moments that changed our lives in 2014…10511456_684562218296270_2640848044762360605_o

How to forget the extreme heat in Cartagena

Or our favorite poses wearing high heels

and what about Alejandra & Edwin… They brought the most amazing props to their engagement session ( coffee cups, balloons, books and their incredible energy)

And this wedding… no matter how much you plan, there is always time for some improvisation if the weather doesn’t help

What about some shots through a taxi window in downtown? The nice thing was to catch Colleen & Steve kissing while I was crossing the street… and it’s not luck, it’s being patience :)

India, India, India… How to forget this AMAZING experience.

Postenero-1-3And how to forget Morgan & Matt’s wedding… My wife Johana cried during the first look, the ceremony, the speeches and she was tearing up again when we got the great news about Morgan’s pregnancy. Congratulations you two!!!

Hey… I always enjoy the day with the bridal party and this one was one of a kind

And our friends wedding… mix feeling when you’re working and wanting to be the one doing the speech… Cheers! :)

Laura & Tony’s engagement shoot was one of a kind… no only because they look amazing together and their smiles show their sweet personalties but because it was one of the first and coldest days of the fall.

The best way to describe this photo… Family, Love & Happiness!

Or this photo… We don’t need to describe how we feel every time we look at this photo. It’s priceless not only for us but for them.

It’s there something more beautiful than a bride on her wedding day?

Discovering new places at our own city it’s part of the deal… It was our first time shooting around Sheffield and Armitage and after their engagement it’s now our favorite area. Thanks Christen & Mark for a fun afternoon.

We didn’t know how EXCITED it’s to shoot a surprise proposal after we planned everything through Skype with Jeevan. We would definitely do it again!

I won’t never forget how fun this wedding was :)

… and talking about having fun, this vintage wedding in Galena during the 4th of July weekend was one of a kind.

This is one of those memories that will always be in our hearts!!! Angelica’s dad passed away a few weeks after her wedding… Moments like this one, is what it makes capturing love stories so worth it!

One of our first weddings of 2014 in Ixtapa, Mexico. Gaby & Marti are more than clients, friends. We call them now cousins for a reason… What happens in Mexico, stays in Mexico ;)

Postenero-5541  Postenero-9744

And we won’t never forget Dani & Rodri, not because we want too but because they don’t let us :) we realized after a few destinations weddings that your life will always be attached to those couples. It’s not only so fun to create traveling experiences together but it let you share invaluable memories with them.

Many thanks to our friends, family, vendors, teachers, and best clients in the world!!!

Setting up a casual meeting with Juancho and Johana prior to the wedding date gave us all an opportunity to get to know each other better, we didn’t feel like it was a sales pitch consultation at all, we felt they really wanted to get to know us as a couple. Another great way we got more familiar with each other was through the engagement photo shoot a few months before the wedding. It was like a rehearsal before the BIG day. We immediately discovered Juancho’s storytelling technique and it gave us a pretty good idea of what the wedding photos would be like.
Not only did we really like their work, we enjoyed spending time with them too! And that was very important to us. We wanted natural, unposed documentation of our wedding from someone who wasn’t going to interrupt the natural flow of the day. We absolutely loved Juancho’s ability to capture the private emotional moments and because of his great personality we never felt like he was invading our space. On the day of our wedding we truly felt relaxed and confident that we can trust http://juanchosc.com/ to capture our love story.
Johana as a second photographer was awesome! She definitely brings a different perspective to the table; while Juancho was getting the more standard photos of my father and I coming down the aisle Johana was taking reaction shots of my husband to be. There are some truly brilliant photos that make me tear up every time I look at them, unfortunately the bride doesn’t have much time to enjoy her surrounding and take it all in. Fortunately for us, we had the right wedding photographers who gorgeously captured the entire event’s happenings, the emotions, and the fun—forever! One perfect picture can instantly take you back to the happiest day of your life.
With this couple as a team it truly does come down to great storytelling; Juancho and Johana are amazing photographers! They’re very patient, accommodating and creative with a great eye for seeing the final product.
We had the best photographers on June 28th 2014 for our Cabo San Lucas, Mexico wedding and on July 26th 2014 for the Chicago wedding. “I hope they can join us for our one year anniversary wedding in Las Vegas, Nevada in the fall of 2015. (Just kidding honey!)
