Each one of us gives our own
SPECIAL TOUCH: Juancho likes to make use of reflections and dramatic lighting for that ARTISTIC photo and Johana loves feeling like a paparazzi, ready to get those priceless MOMENTS.
Today, we combine all of this into the art of photographing stories - your story - because a wedding day is a celebration of love, family and friendships and through all of them, there is a story you want to remember with happy tears and joy.
f I have to describe how Juancho started photography, I would say determination and passion has been his motto since the day he moved from Colombia to the States. His career as a portrait photographer began 10 years ago, when he decided to buy the best lens in the market, without even having the right camera. After photographing our friends engagement session, the look of excitement on his face as he shared his experience with me after that photoshoot said it all. What made Juancho choose Wedding and Portrait Photography over other types was his genuine connection with other’s emotions.
Juancho’s intrepid personality allows him to make friends everywhere; with the person next to him on an airplane or in a bar, the guy from the wine section at the store, and even the UPS driver (who sometimes stops by just to say hi). Photographing weddings with friends and family involved, all the emotions, and ALL the fun is definitely his jam.
We want to feel like we are friends with cameras
And what about me? With a background in TV and Radio (not to mention my days as a fashion model) I bring to the team, as Juancho likes to call it, “the girly point of view”. I love learning about the story behind each person (I guess it's the journalist in me).

Weddings in Colombia start (and end) in the morning. Involves lots of drinks, hugs (even from strangers), and dancing!
Colombia is also our winter escape. It is where we recharge our energy with our loved ones. It is HOME!
Let´s make it happen
You probably know that a traditional Indian wedding lasts an average of three days but what you don't know is that even if you're "working" the wedding, you end up joining of all the rituals and traditions.
We got a henna tattoo, took photos in the middle of a busy street between tuc tucs, bikes and hundreds of people. We dressed up with the traditional clothing, danced on the streets and lived the festivity for 4 - unforgettable - summer days

Street tacos and tequila make this destination a top favorite for couples, their guests, family, and of course their photographers ;)
From Cancun to Cabo San Lucas, Guanajuato and Ixtapa the stories are endless but one thing they all have in common is their hospitality and ability to turn any wedding into a complete weekend of fun experiences for the guests - including the Tornaboda or after party/gathering the following day.

Most of the weddings we've photographed across the country are of couples that had some kind of connection with Chicago.
From all these travel weddings we've learned to always have more than one backup (equipment and locations) and that you don't necessarily need to be familiar with the venue/city because you need to have fresh mind and eyes to highlight what make the place unique

Between Fado, old charming streets and architecture ( not to mention those little pieces of heaven called pasteis de nata), Portugal is a destination to repeat every-time you can.
We drove from Barcelona and visit Lisbon and Porto (booking Airbnb's on the go). Heading the road without a plan can't be more excited!
Ideally we would be having a drink while sharing some “personal facts” but until then, we will go first
