Chicago Cultural Center Wedding: Michelle + Mike

June 18, 2015

Michelle and Mike meet doing one of the things they enjoy most…dancing! And after seeing their chemistry, love and way of treating each other, it can be rest assured that in the language of love words aren’t needed.

Their wedding was celebrated at the landmark that is nothing short of spectacular, the Chicago Cultural Center. Despite the rain putting a damper on plans of going outside for pictures (Downtown Chicago as a backdrop is incredible), it ended up working out for the best! The pictures that captured their love and happiness in the balconies, staircases and just about anywhere of this landmark were gorgeous! They truly enjoyed their day to the fullest.

A special moment of the evening was during the middle of the speeches, when her sister and Maid of Honor surprised them with an exclusive presentation from DLow (Michelle’s favorite)… And the celebration officially started!

Michelle y Mike, we hope your honeymoon in Hawaii was a magical beginning to an incredible adventure you’re starting together.

BEHIND THE LENS

MEET
Juancho + Johana

We’re Johana and Juancho — partners in life, creativity, and capturing love stories across the globe. Juancho’s journey began with bold determination: he moved from Colombia to the U.S. with nothing but vision, passion, and a deep love for people’s stories. He bought the best lens on the market before even owning a camera, and after his first engagement session with friends, he came home glowing. That spark turned into a decade-long career rooted in emotion, connection, and purpose. Juancho has a magnetic personality — the kind that makes fast friends with strangers on planes, in grocery aisles, and even with our UPS guy. Weddings, with all their energy, humanity, and beautiful chaos, are his favorite kind of playground.

I bring a different kind of energy to the team. With a background in modeling and a career as a radio and TV host, I’ve always lived in creative spaces — and now I channel that into editorial work and wedding storytelling. Juancho likes to call my eye “the girly point of view,” but really it’s about noticing what often goes unseen: the softness, the glances, the stillness in between the big moments. Maybe it’s the journalist in me, but I’m always drawn to the why behind the image. Together, we balance each other — and we love creating with people who value that harmony of heart and art.
